.... on life ...
Hey, hey . . . . tell the Misses that those things were LEADING EDGE tech . . . . a few years ago. :) Had one I took to Vietnam to send tapes home. Still have the box of them an still have a large reel-to-reel that plays them. Need to convert them to MP3 one of these days . . . . :)Now a days I have a "Phablet" with 48GB of storage - times have changed!
Gilligan's Island was my husband's ALL-TIME favorite show when he was a kid. :) Visiting today from Super Sunday Sync.
Sorry eiaftinfo, it's something this generation won't appreciate. lol I feel so old already man.
I remember those quite well.
Julie, I lost your email address, I think I owe you some answers re gun control in the US.According to my friend a semi-expert I could buy an AK47 today in less than an hour (except currently there has been a run on them and the supply is very low). A pistol might take me 2 weeks. My expert once worked at a sports store that sold guns. One day a person came in wanting to buy a gun. He was very upset and clearly looking for revenge on someone who had beat him up. My friend could not talk him out of buyung a gun and could not turn him down legally. He informed me that he was able to sell him a gun with the wrong ammunition and thinks he saved someones life by doing so.
I love watching old TV and seeing things like that. Do you watch Get Smart there? It was an old satire on spy movies and such. Anyway, one of his amazing gadgets was a telephone built into his shoe. It looks totally absurd now, but back in the day it was truly a cool thing that kids who watched the show would seriously want to have had!
Suldog - my girls watch Get Smart religiously every afternoon (it's on just before dinner time). They love it!
Eia is right! Actually that WAS a little one!!!
