The first day was spent getting it sighted in (ended up trying two different scopes and I will have to buy another one). Here is a photo of it with its first scope.
That night it was cleaned and put to bed in its very special case ...
And the next night ... time for work
It shoots beautifully. The bolt is totally smooth. It's nice and light I guess the only thing I'm not 100% comfortable with yet is how the magazine locks in. I'm thinking that I will get comfortable with it soon enough.

Glad you like it ! And about time you got the poor thing out of the safe .. It was feeling unloved LOL
Very nice! And it even has its own extra special go-to-the-range luggage!
Very nice! And scopes ARE an interesting discussion to have... LOL...
Don't give Old NFO a bad time when he drops by in a couple days.
Don't know what issues the scopes are giving you. Maybe he could lend some advice or ideas.
Excellent.
Always a happy-maker when the new boomstick works out so well.
What's the problem on the scopes?
Hi Guys
Thanks for stopping by. The problem isn't the scopes, it's me. The vision through my right eye is quite blurry. The first scope I tried, which was off a rifle we lost to the "buy back" in 1997, had very fine cross hairs, which I couldn't focus on a target at 50m. The second scope was a borrowed one and was okay at 50m but I couldn't see the target at 200m.
So I needed to get a new scope anyway.
Scope has been purchased and I will be trying it out in a couple of weeks. Will let you know how I go.
