Back Again

Well we're back from Albany, plus two guinea pigs.

Miss 8 isn't that comfortable around animals so it will be interested to see how it goes. And yes, we have a male and a female. Apparently they're too young to breed yet. YET.

The trip to Albany was good. The main aim of the trip was to catch up with my Dad and his wife. We also found a NICE winery (Ironwood Estate) that does a wonderful Rose.

The weather at the moment is HOT ... Perth officially recorded 42degC today (107.6F), however a friend who lives near me, recorded 46C (114.8F). Tomorrow is forecast as slightly cooler - here's hoping!

Albany is about 400kms from where we live and most of the drive back was on road that was actually melting. Not sure if you can see it in this photo:

Unfortunately I have a white car so we need to clean the tar off it :(

AAAHHH!!! You're driving on the wrong side of the...oh, wait. Never mind :-).

I would just like to see the sun. We've been overcast for most of the last week. I'm not a big fan of winter.

Oh... NOT good tar and white paint don't mix... and yep it's a 'bit' warm even for Australia! Hope it cools off, and y'all be careful.

It's a long trip all right. I always make sure that my iPod Touch is well loaded with music.

I got to visit Australia a few years ago. After visiting relatives in Adelaide, we drove along the coast to Melbourne.

On the way down to the coast, there are a lot of vineyards and wineries. We stopped at Padthaway Estates and picked up a few bottles of some very nice wines. We were sorry that they don't ship outside Australia. I still have a couple of bottles of their wine that I'm saving for special occasions.
